Sony memory stick - A portable device to carry data:
The Sony Memory Stick is a portable device to carry data, images, movies, music files, software and other kind of information. It is a pioneering version of data storage devices like CDs and pen drives. On a CD only viewing data or accessing data was permissible. Writing or transferring data from a CD to CD would need additional drives installed in the PC. It’s just inserting the memory stick device into the laptop or a USB port and click of a mouse to access the data and do wonders with it. The Sony Memory Stick starts with a memory capacity of 4 MB and goes up to 4 GB. The memory stick is very compatible with mobile phones, blackberry’s, PDAs, pocket laptops, MP3 players, etc. This memory stick is developed to suit the needs of the future generation at least for the next 10-15 years. The other enhancements that we can foresee are the memory capacity up gradation and the compatibility with other brands in the telecom and the entertainment segment. We can even imagine the memory sticks being used by the television channel satellite service providers for storing programs with immense data. Although this might be an imagination, you never know what surprises our modern technology has in store for us. When necessity can be the mother of invention, why cannot imagination be the father of innovation?
